I am currently working on a piece for Hope Haven for this competition - the finished piece will be submitted next week. There is a portion of the competition where the public gets to vote on the pieces. All the funds from this competition are going to the non profits. I hope you will check back and vote for Hope Haven's entry.

As the Gulf Coast Community Foundation celebrates its 25th anniversary and embarks on its annual Friends of the Foundation campaign, we are sponsoring in a coastal beautification contest. Nonprofit and community groups, local businesses and artists will be challenged to create a visual representation of how they “Leave their Mark” in our community. The canvas of choice: 55 gallon barrels that will ultimately be used as trash receptacles on beaches and parks across Harrison County. These trash barrels will be serve as a colorful, visual reminder of how non-profit and community groups are making a difference in South Mississippi and also encourage people to keep our coast clean by properly disposing of trash.
